Hi, I'm Peter.
I've spent years on both sides of the table, building products and running the business, and these days I most enjoy the early, messy, exciting part of a company's life.
I rarely invest alone. I usually bring along, or help put together, a small group of angels who back a founder together, so you get more than one brain and one network in your corner.
And I'm willing to take a risk on a team. If the people in front of me cover everything the business needs, someone to build, someone to sell, someone to keep the books straight, then I don't need a finished product or much proof. Good teams figure the rest out.
Early on I like to be close and easy to reach: a lunch, a coffee, or a beer to think out loud about whatever you're wrestling with. As the company finds its feet, I happily move to the back seat. I strongly believe the founders should run the company, not the investor. When experience is the thing that's missing, that's where I can help: brainstorming options, pressure-testing directions, opening doors.
Nothing formal, just honest conversations and a real interest in what you're building.
